"Brothers Open" Supports OEH

The 2026 Brothers Open Golf Tournament is a local charitable golf tournament organized by Brothers Open, a Kitchener-based volunteer organization led by Tournament Chairman Peter Fitzgerald. The event raises funds for local charities throughout Waterloo Region.

One of the 2026 beneficiaries was the Our Everyday Heroes program, a partnership between the Kitchener Knights of Columbus and the Kitchener Fire Department that visits children in local hospitals to provide comfort, distraction, and joy.

Brother Knight, Peter Fitzgerald presented a donation from the tournament at the Knights' Family Barbecue on behalf of Brothers Open. This donation continues Brothers Open's long-standing tradition of raising thousands of dollars each year for organizations serving the Waterloo Region community.

Through the dedication and generosity of Peter and his colleagues, thousands of dollars have been raised over the years in support of many local charities.

This year's donation will benefit our Our Everyday Heroes program, helping us continue bringing comfort and smiles to children receiving care at Grand River Hospital.
