Spring Cleanup 2024

By: Gary Megaffin

A sign of the season, the sun shone down on the Kitchener Knights of Columbus Big Spring Cleanup.  The drop-off began at 8:30 am on Saturday May 4th at the St. Anthony Daniel parking lot and continued until the afternoon.  One bin was completely filled with discarded electronics and another bin with scrap metal.

As well, 24 bottles of the Knights of Columbus popular maple syrup were sold and sales of Girl Guide cookies were brisk.  Donations to the Waterloo Regional food Bank in the amount of $55.00 were received.

The success of this year’s campaign goes to the volunteers: Jack Nolan, Mark Richard, Andrew Kearsey with Katherine and Michael Kearsey, Tim Rumig, Deacon Sean Meany, Frank Nyland, Wayne Keffer, Owen Hennessey, Michael Olinski, Jesse Baldwin, Matthew Griffin, Gerry Kelly, Wayne Curry, Brian Hughes, Steve Constant, Whit Husk, Andrew Olinski, Patrick Olinski, Brian Schmalz, Kevin Schmalz, Pedro
