Strikes and Spares at Towne Bowl

by Gary Megaffin

The second Knights of Columbus Winter Family Bowling Day at the Towne Bowl saw over 40 bowlers enjoy Cosmic Bowling on Sunday February 18. Hats off to organizer PGK Brian Schmalz who arranged the event for the families and their friends of Council 1504. The pins were flying as the bowlers played with skill displaying high-fives and congrats. Amid a harsh winter, the K of C event was appreciated by everyone who enjoyed the bowling day accompanied with pepperoni pizza. Special thanks go to Jamie Witmer and the staff at Towne Bowl for their loyalty to the Kitchener Knights of Columbus. Towne Bowl reserved the lanes for the Family Day Bowling and for the Wednesday K of C Bowling League, the longest running bowling league there. Whenever required, Jamie and staff have accommodated Council 1504.
