$2,500 for the Children’s Wish Foundation

The Kitchener and Area Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada was the recipient of a $2,500 donation from Council 1504. The Kitchener Knights of Columbus supported this worthy cause with profits from their Annual Golf Tournament September 29 as 36 golfers teed off at Foxwood Golf and Country Club. At the organization’s Support Appreciation Night, GK Mike Szabo and DGK Gary Megaffin presented host and local Children’s Wish Coordinator Anne Boehm with the cheque. The event was held at the St. Jacob’s Antique Market. The Foundation focusses on children between 3 and 17 years of age who are facing life threatening illnesses. The Kitchener and Area foundation grants a wish on an average of one every three weeks.
