The Children’s Wish Foundation Recognized

The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada was the recipient of a $2,700 donation from Council 1504. The Kitchener Knights of Columbus supported this worthy cause with profits from their Annual Golf Tournament held in August as 67 golfers teed off at the Grand River Golf Club. On the evening of September 26th GK Dave Obermeyer, DGK Mike Szabo and their wives were guests at the organization’s 3rd annual Support Appreciation Night. The event was held at the St. Jacob’s Antique Market and hosted by local Children’s Wish Coordinator Anne Boehm. The Foundation focusses on children between 3 and 17 years of age who are facing “life threatening illnesses”. The Kitchener and Area foundation grants a wish on an average of one every three weeks.
