We have a new champion for 2018! Matteo De Benedetti, aged 14, sunk 22 out of 25 free throw shots to win the Knights of Columbus Regional Basketball Free Throw competition on February 24, 2018 at St. David’s High School in Waterloo. The event was organized, once again, by Pat McGrath, a teacher at St. David’s and Faithful Navigator of the Kitchener Knights of Columbus. There were volunteers from the Kitchener and Waterloo councils, as well as several District Deputies.
After many years, Pat McGrath is stepping down from organizing this event. Look for next year’s Basketball Free Throw to be held in the Hamilton area. Thanks for all your hard work over the years, Pat!
Matteo De Benedetti is this year’s Regional Free Throw champion after sinking 22 out of 25 shots. Very impressive!
